What a special day celebrating a new beginning for the Magpantay family!

Christopher, Precious and their young son, Aeden, officially received the keys to their new home through Habitat’s Buyback Program, marking an exciting new chapter for their family.

At the Key Ceremony on September 18th, we were grateful to celebrate this milestone alongside the many volunteers, staff members and local officials who came together to show their support. Heartfelt speeches from Christopher and Executive Director Jeff West, reflected on the importance of homeownership and the opportunities it creates for families and communities.

"I want to thank Habitat for Humanity and everyone who made this opportunity possible. Standing here today is something I never imagined, I am truly grateful." Words shared from Christopher at the Key Ceremony, holding his young son as he joined him on stage.

The home was previously owned by another Habitat family. When they were ready to move on, Habitat bought the home back, completed the necessary renovations and prepared it for the Magpantay family, creating another opportunity for affordable homeownership and demonstrating how one home can make a lasting difference for multiple families.

We are excited for this new chapter unfolding for the Magpantay family and wish them many wonderful memories in their new home!
