Affordable Homeownership Program

  • Sole, joint, shared, or split custody of at least of one child under the age of 18

  • The need for better or more affordable housing
    • Things to consider: current cost of housing, housing issues that can affect the health of the family and number, gender and age of people currently sharing a room

  • A willingness to partner with Habitat, including completing 500 hours of volunteer work and financial literacy training

  • The ability to pay an affordable mortgage, including:
    • An income range between $55,000 to $87,800, depending on family size

    • Regular income that is not Employment Insurance, Income Assistance, or any other “stop-gap” measures
