Good Food, Great Company & the BIG Cheese!

On August 16, our Habitat VIN staff and volunteers from both ReStore locations came together at beautiful Miracle Beach for an afternoon of food, fun and friendly competition!

It was a great opportunity for our Campbell River and Courtenay teams to connect, meet new faces, and enjoy some well-deserved time together outside of the ReStore. And, of course, no picnic is complete without great food! A big thank-you to everyone who brought delicious side dishes to share, there was plenty for everyone to enjoy.

The afternoon also featured three fun games, with the Campbell River and Courtenay crews battling it out for the coveted BIG Cheese Trophy. For the third year in a row, the Campbell River crew managed to squeak out a win over Courtenay but it was a close one!

Congratulations to Campbell River on defending the trophy, and a huge thank-you to everyone who came out, brought food, played games and helped make the day fun.

We may have a BIG Cheese champion, but the real win was having our Habitat family together!
