Unity in Community Event in Courtenay hosted by Habitat for Humanity
Everyone is Welcome
when: Saturday, June 7 | 11am - 2pm
where: Simms Park
Unity in Community is a FREE family-friendly event that seeks to unite people in working toward common goals, celebrating shared values, and supporting one another, regardless of their differences. It’s about fostering a sense of belonging, cooperation, and mutual respect, where everyone feels included and empowered to contribute to the well-being of the community. Coming together and valuing each person’s unique strengths and perspectives creates a stronger, more connected, and more compassionate community.
The event will feature 10 local non-profit organizations hosting interactive booths, providing information about their services, and encouraging community engagement. The Raven Radio will be on site broadcasting. Special live music guest Cafe Ole will be performing live, AND you will be able to participate in a pop-up choir led by Wendy Nixon Stothert with a 'Home' themed mash-up!

Participating Non-Profits
Dawn to Dawn, Tibetan Bon Buddhist Society, Comox Valley Head Injury Society, Eureka Support Society, 4 R’s Education, I Belong – L’Arche Comox Valley, Immigrant Welcome Society, Comox Valley Coalition to End Homelessness, Vancouver Island Vocational and Rehabilitation Services (VIVRS), Habitat for Humanity Vancouver Island North
Thank you to the Team-up Project for sponsoring the event!
