Shaw TV Tours the Campbell River ReStore

Shaw TV recently visited the Campbell River Habitat for Humanity ReStore to learn how it provides a "win-win-win" situation for the community. 1. The ReStore is a social enterprise. Profits from the ReStore cover Habitat's operational costs, allowing us to direct 100% of monetary donations towards our homeownership program. Every purchase helps to build a better life for a local family. 2. The ReStore benefits members of the public who are able to buy gently-used (and sometimes new!) home and building supplies at discounted prices. They can donate to the ReStore as well, diverting items from the land fill. 3. The ReStore promotes volunteerism. Our amazing volunteers are able to use their existing skills, learn new skills, and meet new people, all while giving back to their community in a meaningful way.
