Matching Campaign Gets a Boost from Couverdon

Building Communities Together: Couverdon and Habitat for Humanity

Earlier this month, Habitat had the pleasure of meeting with Ross McKeever, Director at Couverdon Real Estate/Mosaic Forest Mgmt. who generously donated $1,500 to our annual Matching Campaign. "We believe that strong partnerships build strong communities. We’re proud to support Habitat for Humanity, an organization known for its dedication to creating accessible housing and fostering vibrant neighbourhoods", stated McKeever who along with Sherese Johnson, recently met with our Director of Communications and Fundraising, Stefano Tromba.

How We First Connected with Habitat for Humanity

As a property developer with a focus on Vancouver Island and the Sunshine Coast, Couverdon has always sought partnerships with organizations that align with their mission to create thriving neighbourhoods. Naturally, Habitat’s reputation for creating accessible housing aligns perfectly with its mission to support impactful initiatives and make this a natural fit.

Why We Chose to Support Habitat’s Fundraiser

The holiday season is a time of giving and reflection, a time when we’re reminded of the importance of home. Homes are the heart of the holidays—the places where families gather, create memories and find comfort. When we learned about Habitat’s matching donation initiative, we saw a unique opportunity to maximize our impact. By contributing to this fundraiser, we’re not just supporting the construction of houses; we’re helping to build thriving communities where everyone has a place to belong. Habitat’s unwavering dedication to these values inspires us to play our part in creating a brighter future for all.

More About Couverdon

The Couverdon mission goes beyond developing properties. They aim to create neighbourhoods where people feel a true sense of belonging and community. Across Vancouver Island and the Sunshine Coast, they, like Habitat are committed to projects that promote stability, growth, and opportunity.

"I welcome and invite Couverdon to continue their participation in Habitat for Humanity's efforts to impact lives through affordable housing and any initiatives to do so", stated Tromba. To everyone involved—from the dedicated volunteers to the donors who make this work possible—thank you for joining us in building communities where everyone can thrive. Let’s keep the spirit of giving alive this holiday season and beyond and donate to Habitat today!
