The store that's good for the community and the environment
Habitat for Humanity ReStores are home and building supply stores that accept and resell quality new and used furniture, housewares, and building materials. Shopping at a Habitat ReStore is a socially conscious decision, as funds generated are used to fund local Habitat for Humanity homebuilding projects. It’s also an environmentally conscious decision, as much of what is sold is product that is new, gently used or customer returns that would otherwise end up in a landfill.
At our two ReStore locations (one in Courtenay and one in Campbell River) we receive new and used furniture and building materials donated by homeowners, contractors, retailers and manufacturers, and sell them to the public at reduced prices.
Money raised through sales covers 100% of the cost of Habitat for Humanity Vancouver Island North’s operations. That means that every dollar donated to Habitat can go directly towards building homes for families in need.
